It can best be described as Hotel Pousada or Resort Guest House on a paradise island. It is located in beautiful tropical gardens only twenty-five metres from the beach and within easy walking distance of the pristine long, deserted beaches. The island is safe and the natives are friendly and laid-back.
It is a year round destination with average highs of 29ºC and lows of 21ºC. Unlike the Caribbean, there are no dramatic changes in weather patterns with no hurricanes or storms. The rainy season is from May – July and during the rest of the year, rainfall is gentle and rain falls mostly during the night and early morning.
The entrance to the hotel is along an elevated boardwalk over a stream leading guests into a garden oasis of tropical plants and birds and a spectacular bar and restaurant. The peace and calm away from the typical village beach action is especially appreciated.
The pousada has no low season and is very profitable. It is full year round, averaging 85% occupancy from August to May. The owners currently close for May, June and July to dedicate time to other business interests in Europe.
The Pousada is one of the most highly rated in Brazil. The ratings on Booking Com are “Exceptional” and the pousada is the TripAdvisor Winner. It was also rated in the top 10 in Brazil 2017 by PPOW Guest Review Booking. Com awards. The property has featured in numerous publications and has, for example, been recommended in Tatler magazine. It has also become the first hotel of choice amongst French travellers to the Island.
In a village where there are few restaurants, the bar and restaurant have become a focal point in the evenings. Most guests use the restaurant and bar every night and it has become a meeting place for many different nationalities to have fun and swap stories.
The property offers 10 bungalows in total : 2 luxury suites, 4 superior bungalows, 3 classic bungalows and an owner/manager bungalow suite. There is also the elegant bar/restaurant and fully-equipped kitchen. There is also a laundry, various store rooms and a garden sun deck. All fixtures, fittings and contents are included in the price.
The total constructed area is 550 m2 not counting terraces or the laundry area.
